Climate Solutions: Mitigation and Adaptation

Estimated duration: 1h00

Over the last few decades, environmental changes seem to have occurred with increasing frequency, whether in terms of abiotic factors (longer periods of drought, episodes of intense rainfall, etc.) or biotic factors (appearance of resistant bio-aggressors, disappearance / insufficiency of pollinating insects, etc.).

These changes influence the distribution of species, production periods and techniques, and plant reproduction. They represent real challenges for mankind and for agriculture. They require us to develop a whole range of strategies to predict possible changes, the strategies we need to make to adapt and the precautions we need to take to reduce the impact of these changes.

Of all these changes, climate change is currently one of the most worrying. What are the origins of this change? What is the impact of agriculture on climate change? What can we do to mitigate these changes and adapt? That's what we'll be looking at in this course.
