Who this training is for and what you will learn
- Company : Farm Manager, Horticultural Producer, Production Manager, Crop Protection Manager, Harvest Manager, Quality-traceability Manager. We recognize the vital role women play in agriculture and horticulture, and we are committed to fostering inclusive training environments where both women and men can thrive, lead, and connect. At the end of this training, you will be able to:

Distinguish GLOBALGAP certification option I from option II to be able to choose the relevant one for the company

Describe the working of an ICS (Internal Control system) and QMS (Quality Management System) in the option II

Distinguish internal inspections / internal audits from external inspections by certification bodies

Estimate the equipment, processes, budget and human resources implications of GLOBALG.A.P. implementation and certification

Apply the compliance criteria of the GLOBALG.A.P. checklists for individual farms and for QMS auditing

Define the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) with representation from both women and men, along with the development of the National Interpretation Guideline (NIG)
- Identify gender-based barriers in agricultural certification processes and propose inclusive strategies that promote equal participation of women and men in GLOBALG.A.P. implementation
To ensure a successful learning experience, the participant should have met the following pre-requisites:
- Participated in the COLEAD market access webinar
- Successfully completed self-paced trainings on private voluntary standards on COLEAD's e-learning

Logistical conditions
- Training costs (room and equipment rental, training materials, trainer fees);
- Meal costs for all training days;
- All other expenses that may be necessary such as accommodation.
- Any extras such as taxi.
- During training days, all participants will be served within the training center: a morning and afternoon coffee break, as well as lunch.
Who will train you?
We are pleased to welcome Moses Miatu, a Registered GLOBAL.G.A.P. Trainer. As a consultant and trainer, he has aided several horticulture companies achieve or maintain GLOBALG.A.P. certification. He has technical experience working with horticulture companies in East Africa, and knowledge of good agriculture practices. He has facilitated COLEAD trainings on various topics such as GLOBALG.A.P. SPRING addon.
Passionate about food safety certification, Moses will provide you with concrete tools, enriching feedback, and a dynamic pedagogical approach.
